Brasil Supply, a joint-venture between Cotia Trading, Petrobras Distribuidora, Grupo Suzano and Grupo Gerhardt Santos, delivers to Petrobras the fifth ship out of 17. These were agreed under the Fleet Renewal Plan of Offshore Support Ships (Prorefam), to meet the demands of the pre-salt operations.

The ship BS Camboriu was launched last month. She belongs to the family “crew boat”, a relatively small boat used for personnel and cargo transfers, with capacity for 60 people and 150 tons of cargo, 40 m3 of drinking water and 135 m3 of diesel oil, reaching a cruising speed of 25 knots – equivalent to 46 km/h.

The aluminum structure of the boat was completely welded and fabricated by Zeppelin Systems Latin America and assembled at Arpoador’s shipyard in Guarujá.

Brasil Supply S.A. awarded Arpoador Engenharia with the design and assembly project including the building of the hull and superstructure by Zeppelin Systems Latin America.

Zeppelin Systems LA executed the fabrication of the hull and the superstructure based on its welding technology in strict conformity with quality control procedures.

Arpoador’s shipyard was responsible for the project and assembly of the equipment in Guarujá.

The purpose of these units is to provide for the transfer of people and cargo to Petrobras’ oil rigs / platforms. One of the already existing units is located in Angra dos Reis, RJ and the other in Ubu, ES.

The next deliveries to Brasil Supply by Arpoador are Petrobras UT 4000 type boats.

Currently their blocks are being welded at Zeppelin Systems LA. All parts ready for final assembly and installation of equipment by Arpoador are already in their shipyard in Guarujá.
